Motor Test Equipment
- A source of power, energy, or motive force
- A machine, esp. one powered by electricity or internal combustion, that supplies motive power for a vehicle or for some other device with moving parts
- drive: travel or be transported in a vehicle; "We drove to the university every morning"; "They motored to London for the theater"
- centrifugal: conveying information to the muscles from the CNS; "motor nerves"

WHAT IS LATENT DEMAND AND THE P.I.E.?
The concept of latent demand is rather subtle. The term latent typically refers to something that is dormant, not observable, or not yet realized. Demand is the notion of an economic quantity that a target population or market requires under different assumptions of price, quality, and distribution, among other factors. Latent demand, therefore, is commonly defined by economists as the industry earnings of a market when that market becomes accessible and attractive to serve by competing firms. It is a measure, therefore, of potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) or total revenues (not profit) if a market is served in an efficient manner. It is typically expressed as the total revenues potentially extracted by firms. The “market” is defined at a given level in the value chain. There can be latent demand at the retail level, at the wholesale level, the manufacturing level, and the raw materials level (the P.I.E. of higher levels of the value chain being always smaller than the P.I.E. of levels at lower levels of the same value chain, assuming all levels maintain minimum profitability).
The latent demand for test equipment for testing electrical, radio and communication circuits, and motors is not actual or historic sales. Nor is latent demand future sales. In fact, latent demand can be lower either lower or higher than actual sales if a market is inefficient (i.e., not representative of relatively competitive levels). Inefficiencies arise from a number of factors, including the lack of international openness, cultural barriers to consumption, regulations, and cartel-like behavior on the part of firms. In general, however, latent demand is typically larger than actual sales in a country market.
For reasons discussed later, this report does not consider the notion of “unit quantities”, only total latent revenues (i.e., a calculation of price times quantity is never made, though one is i

Two products of Workington are seen a short distance from their place of birth at this weekend’s Distington Vintage Rally, both are currently in the hands of the Workington Transport Heritage Trust.
KHH 378W was new to Cumberland Motor Services in October 1980, receiving fleet number 378. It has been restored into post NBC livery.
WHH556S was built in 1978 as a dual door bus with seats (21) in the rear section only, leaving the remainder of the saloon available for the fitting of electrical test equipment by Lucas.
Leyland Vehicles retained it at their Lillyhall factory as development vehicle REV01 and it was subsequently rebuilt as a single door model containing 52 seats.
The original Leyland 510 power unit was latterly replaced with a DAF engine by Rowrah based JB Pickthall Coaches, the company whose livery it carries and for whom it last operated.
The day's shoot in part was a test of my equipment prior to the Tour of California Time Trial on Friday, where I can expect cyclists traveling not 15-20 mph, but world class pros in skin suits and aero helmets hitting 30 to 35 mph. So, this motor biker, probably headed up Trimmer Springs Road, at 50+ mph, seemed like a fair practice target. Shot with the D300 and 18-200/3.5-5.6 VR, wide open at f5.6, 1/800, AF-C with "focus priority" and 21-point "dynamic," the frame has actually been cropped by almost 30%, from a frame shot at the full 200 mm. It has then been reduced down to the maximum 800 x 1200 pixels at which I generally post. Anyway, I think I'm ready for Levi Leipheimer....and did I mention that his father continues to run a motorcycle dealership in Butte, Montana?

Start an ASE training regimen that is focused, thorough, and will prepare you for success, using this new test preparation guide from Delmar Learning. Concentrating on the very latest truck equipment installation and repair task list released by the ASE, this book provides the tools readers need to get ready for the certification exam. It begins with a history of the ASE and progresses to include guidelines, techniques, and strategies for taking and passing ASE certification exams. An overview of the task list follows, detailing the most recent procedures used to properly install, diagnose, service, and repair truck equipment and related support systems. At the core of the book's training methods are the ASE-style practice questions and answer rationales, which allow readers to apply their knowledge and practice putting it to use in a format that mimics the certification testing environment.
